I've read a hundred different things, have to weigh it to really know. I know I weighed my old Talon and it was impressively lighter than stock, with mostly minor things gone.

Looks good Dallas, just a couple questions and observations..
Stock pistons?
did you measure piston/cylinder clearance? bearing clearances?
Seems like your torque specs for rods and mains are pretty dam low to me.
and yeah that is a back words way to assemble a engine, at least to me it is. I've always installed the crank first then installed pistons with bearing in it already and put on rod caps as you go.
Your making good progress man I like it, keep it up
The only clearenes i didnt check were the mains and rods...... only cuz sperry told me everything was perfect and to just order stock bearing clearances... Top ring is .011 2nd ring .08
Thx scott, i aint ridin no dyno anymore am i? lol
LOL hell yeah, hope it runs good for ya man
Maybe I missed something. Is this assembled now, and ready to go?
yea.... it went in a few months back. Its got about 2k miles on it actually. Just gonna put a new top end gasket kit on and get it tuned....
Blow a headgasket?
no, used the wrong one...... oops. Its got an LS head gasket, needs a GSR. And i bought some cheap ass ebay gasket kit for the head, so the cam seals and valve cover are leaking. It also needs new valve seals.
2k miles holly crap that was fast!
Thx, means alot to have a compliment from ya. Ordered the kit today, should be here the 23rd.....
